Sip a cup of legendary Ceylon Tea while contemplating life on a mountain or tea plantation 6000 feet above sea level. Some must visit destinations in Sri Lanka’s Hill Country:

Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, nicknamed the “Little England” of Sri Lanka for its chilly climate and colonial style bungalows, is situated at an elevation of 1,868 m in the misty hills of central Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya’s European-style environment is a result of the city once being a retreat for colonial planters and high-society.

Lake Gregory – a beautiful Lake in Nuwara Eliya Town built by Governor William Gregory between 1872 and 1877 with boat rides and places for relaxation.
Adams Peak

Sripada (sacred footprint) or Samanala Kande (butterfly mountain) has been the object of worship and pilgrimage for centuries for all major religions. The British referred to this mountain as Adam’s Peak. Watching the dawn from Sripada is a once in a lifetime experience.
Ella

Ella is a wonder by itself. The two famous treks in the area are Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock, not to mention the iconic 9 Arch Bridge and the beautiful Ravana & Diyaluma Falls (the 2nd tallest waterfall in the country). The Kandy to Ella train ride is regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world.
